Our manual technology provides an inexpensive start in materials handling equipment and supports the user with daily logistical tasks.
The slick rail
The Dürkopp slick rail is the basic version of the in-plant logistics. Hangers with seat covers or garments, for example , can be pushed and distributed manually over various distances. The slick rail is used as a connection between power-driven sections, for example.
It can also be used as an alternative to power-driven technology over short distances. It is used, for example, after drop-off points in sorting systems.
The Set-Carrier
The conversion from a conventional Z-rail to an overhead system is simple: All that is needed is the slick rail system, the required number of Set-Carriers and the respective number of switches to allow for the distribution to the different drop-off or destination points. You can carry out the planning and design of the components yourself or have Dürkopp do it for you.

Tracking
Tracking of the sets is carried out via the carrier throughout the system starting at the time of production of the goods. This is effected via an affixed barcode or an integrated RF chip.
An application with a trolley-less technology
The Set-Carrier can be used for automation with a trolley-less Dürkopp system such as the 200 G fence conveyor or pin conveyor for example. If used with the clip conveyor, you will be able to intervene in the automatic system manually when necessary, in order to densify the goods in the accumulation area or to move them on by hand.
Degrees of automation
1. manual:
The goods are fed onto the slick rail by hand or transported via a Set-Carrier.
2. mechanised:
Individual sections can be semi-automated to bridge different levels or greater distances.
3. fully-automatic:
The whole system can be automated at a later date with the trolley-less technology.
