Dürkopp also provides solutions for the transport and sorting of single items. Our single item systems are in operation wherever cartons, flat garments, books, CDs or pharmaceuticals have to be transported.
Depending on the customer requirement, the goods can either be dropped off directly into boxes or shipping containers or onto chutes and roller conveyors.
This system can be flexibly to fit individual layouts with tight left and right turns as well as gradients of up to 30 degrees. There are no limits to the length of the system nor the number of drop-offs that are possible.
Depending on your requirements there are two different systems to choose from:
The Tilt Tray Sorter
Goods (for example parcels and boxes) weighing up to 50kg can be transported and sorted with the tilt tray sorter.
The tilt tray sorter is flexible where the choice of loading stations is concerned: the single items can either be loaded manually or automatically via a conveyor belt.
Sorting then takes place onto chutes and roller conveyors.
The Split Tray Sorter
The split tray sorter is used where single items are to be dropped off directly into shipping containers. The maximum weight per unit is 10kg. The split tray sorter has another additional feature: it is already equipped for item identification with RFID technology.
A small system using RFID technology is on show at the moment in the Metro Innovation-Center in Neuss.
Dürkopp Fördertechnik has provided a high-speed sorting system for flat goods (e.g. books, CDs, garments, pharmaceuticals), which simulates the distribution of articles according to customer orders using RFID technology.
Operating the sorter is extremely simple: main switch on, control button turned to the on position, place goods into the individual trays. After automatic sorting the loads or transport containers must be emptied.
Enhancing the sorting technology on show with RfID permits an even greater increase in efficiency and productivity in the areas of goods receipt control, picking and distribution of goods.
